Current initiatives

Here you will find information on projects that are currently being undertaken by the Diversity Team and our partners.

In 2010 we plan continue these initiatives and to work in the following areas:

  • Update the statistical digest to include more diversity strands beyond gender, such as age, disability and ethnicity, to ensure that the evidence base remains relevant
  • Follow up the Disability code of good practice with a project to further share good practice
  • Consider issues related to the under-representation of students from lower socio-economic backgrounds
  • Consult with our membership about issues surrounding diversity and inclusion in physics that they would like us to address
