Senior Officers' Committee

The Committee's purpose is:

To maintain an overview of the current purpose and functioning of the Institute in the light of external and internal developments.

Its responsibilities and powers are:

To consider urgent and important matters that may arise between Council meetings and advise the Chief Executive on actions including advising or consulting Council
To provide a forum for briefing on Institute matters and relevant external events
To monitor the implementation of actions agreed at preceding Council meetings
To advise on the final form of the agenda( for approval by the President), review the final draft set of papers, and consider the final Board and Committee reports for the forthcoming Council meeting
To develop the outline agenda for future (beyond the forthcoming) Council meetings - for consideration by Council
To decide and act/ or act on matters delegated to SOC by preceding Council meetings and on an ad-hoc basis
